What does the Stay at Home Order mean for you? Quite simple.
We all need to continue to do our part and stay at home during this time.
For real estate the Stay at Home Order means:
- Stay at home;
- Stay at home. Work from home. Real estate continues to be defined as an essential service but this is NOT BUSINESS AS USUAL. Use electronic means first, foremost and to the greatest extent possible;
- Counsel clients to stay at home. Communicate with them virtually, conduct virtual tours and exhaust all virtual tools at your disposal; and,
- Only transact in-person if absolutely necessary and electronic means have been fully utilized. Please use OREA guidance on safe in-person showings here. Guidance for safe brokerage office here.
OREA is going through the new regulations that were posted last night in detail and we will send another communication on issues such as construction, short-term rentals, renovations, evictions, use of support services such as photographers and stagers as soon as we confirm the impact of the new rules in these areas. For now, please stay home, stay safe, and save lives.
